The Ladies part 2: Story sketches
The above is an early Yomama sketch drawn by me and colored by Zoë Moss.
No full story post just yet. I still need to sit down with Arica and maybe Zoë and hack that all out. Still the other day, I sat down with the lovely Lindsay Smith and threw down some story concept sketches.
I wanted to sketch up how Jay interacts with the various Elm Blossom Place girls. Here he is with Doomimi. Here, he's apparently part of one of her "art projects".
Here's Jay stuck in Breena's dungeon/basement lab thingee.
Yomama got most of the development this time. Here she is at the computer typing awful things about her friends.

Fee- (under her breath) Bitch.
Yomama- Excuse me?
Fee- Oh, I said I have an itch.
Yomama- Oh.
Fee- (under her breath) ...in your tender skull, you harpee.
Another by Lindsay. We thought it'd be funny if Yomama was constantly reinventing herself in a Madonna-like fashion. However, I thought the punchline above would work better if Yomama was wearing a different costume:

I particularly like the picture of Jay and Breena. Gotta dig the mad scientist. Of course, the Yomama pic of trying to find herself made me laugh. Just not as much as Jay and Breena. Good work!
Murrr. it is hard to give feedback when I LIKE things.
I enjoy that these ladies seem to all be fucking nuts, each in their own special way.
I love Yomama's Grinch like expression while writing about her friends. It could be a good thing to slip in subtle references to. Looks a little like Tom's plotting face from Tom and Jerry.
I'm also enjoying Breena being completely blazee(sp.?) about the whole pointless experiment thing
I totally love the ladies. The only problem I'm having with it, is (since it's a love hina spoof) I keep expecting a love hina style story, but that's bound to change once you have some story ideas up. So I guess that's really not a problem.
I love how the "The Ladies" cast are similar enough in design to Love Hina, but have really different personalities, which makes this even more fun. Rock On!
Well, remember, I'm not spoofing JUST Love Hina, I'm doing a parody of the whole genre! Ranma 1/2, Girls BRAVO, Tenchi, Happy Lesson, they're all influences. One thing you'll find about the show is that it'll look like it's heading in a stereotypical direction, and then I'll throw you a twist. I want to keep the audience going "whaaaat?"
One day, I am going to draw Breena.
I really like the premises for your series.
Yomama looks so proud in her bear suit.
...and the bear suit, in turn, looks scared to death of Yomama. X3
This might even beat out Weird Eddie for my favorite cartoon of yours. I spent most of my preteen summers watching Tenchi, so this is like a flashback.

I like what you've got, especially the picture of Jay and Breena in the lab. Though the picture with Yomamma as Madonna made me laugh. It's hard to choose just one when you like it all, you know what I mean?

I like the part with Breena...like a more benign version of Linneah, doing experiments that really don't prove anything...:)
Yomama is of course hilarious, and damn skankingrob to nasty place for taking my Grinch reference, because that was the very first thing i thought of when i saw that pic.
"I have an itch...in your tender skull, you harpy" is my new catchphrase. Damn, that's funny.

hahahah... I really like the designs of the characters and how you spoofed each one of them... like Shinobu-like Fefe... only difference is that she has a very twisted personality... hahaha or even the Naru-like Yomama... hahaha so much anger and angst in that lady... oh well.
Poor bear, he's pazzessed...
Have I mentioned before how this is, by far, my favorite show idea out of the many many show ideas you have?
